Harry grew up on a high-country station up the Ashburton Gorge before moving to a Sheep, Beef and Deer property in Peel Forest. With an academic background in Geography, Geology and Environmental Management, Harry combines this with practical solutions that consider environmental requirements, farm management feasibility and business development. He has expertise in biodiversity enhancement, Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS) advice, environmental policy, and farm production planning and analysis. Harry is a Certified Nutrient Management Advisor, and Farmax Elite accredited user.
Josh has a background in environmental consultancy and has worked across the fertiliser industry and with catchment groups. He is an expert in catchment group development and strategy, environmental project development, and agricultural environmental policy implementation. He has advised and works with farmers, Regional and Central government organisations, Catchment Groups, communities, and Iwi.
Originally a farmer from Mid-Canterbury, John is passionate about New Zealand’s agricultural industry. With 25 years farming experience, coupled with industry roles with Beef + Lamb New Zealand and Ravensdown (Environmental), John helps farmers navigate the changing regulatory landscape while making their businesses more robust and sustainable. John is a Certified Nutrient Management advisor, Certified Farm Environment Plan auditor, and an Elite accredited Farmax user.
Ian has a wealth of experience in the land and water sustainability field developed over 40+ years working in catchment boards, regional councils and as a consultant. This translates into practical wisdom that Ian has applied as one of the original Farm Environmental Plan developers, and the design of Environment Canterbury’s Farm audit programme. Ian has expertise in regional policy implementation, sustainable land use, soil conservation, farm environment planning, (including Freshwater Farm Plans), farm environment risk assessment, and community and iwi engagement.
Harriet grew up on a sheep and beef farm in North Canterbury. After gaining a Bachelor of Fine Arts majoring in Printmaking and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management she has now returned to her rural roots working with Rural Consulting. Harriet supports the farm consultants and combines her field of study with her agriculture knowledge to lead Rural Consultings Farm Mapping service.
Billy has spent most of his life on sheep and beef farms in Southland and North Canterbury with his family still farming up the Inland Road in Kaikoura. Growing up fishing, diving, hunting and working on the farm developed Billy’s passion for the environment and working with the agricultural industry to support environmental improvements. Billy attended Lincoln University where he completed his Environmental Management degree. After Lincoln he worked as a Land Management and Biodiversity advisor for Environment Canterbury in Mid Canterbury for three years. Billy is passionate about helping farmers understand current regulatory changes and supporting them to achieve their environmental goals.
